ZMINA:Resilience
Implementation period of project:
August 2025 — July 2028
Description
ZMINA:Resilience is a project to support the integration of the Ukrainian cultural and creative sectors (CCS) in the EU’s cultural landscape, in view of the country’s accession to the EU. To reach this objective, the project will provide funding and capacity building to support collaborations between artistic and cultural organisations (A&COs) from Ukraine and other Creative Europe countries.
ZMINA:Resilience will provide €1.4m in sub-grants, supporting artistic and cultural organisations to elaborate international co-operation projects, to develop international co-creations, and to showcase co-creations internationally.
ZMINA:Resilience will also deliver a diverse capacity-building programme that will increase the internationalisation capacity of over 500 cultural organisation representatives. Presented partly in English, this support will benefit Ukrainian organisations as well as artistic and cultural organisations from other Creative Europe countries.
Successful projects, successful collaborations, strong Ukrainian participants who have learned to work internationally and to European standards – as well as communication of these results to broader audiences – will promote the integration of the Ukrainian creative and cultural sector in the European cultural landscape, while preparing post-war recovery of the sector and of Ukraine.

Open call for evaluators
We are looking for experts with experience in the arts and cultural sector to participate in the evaluation and selection of projects supported by the ZMINA:Resilience project at national and international competitions.
Within the ZMINA:Resilience project, four separate calls for project proposals are planned: three waves to support the creation of international projects and one ongoing call, which will remain open for applications to fund the dissemination of artworks, with selections every three and four months over a period of 16 months. This approach ensures flexibility and accessibility of the competitions for participants.

Open Call for International Cooperation Seed funding Proposals for Ukrainian organisations
The ZMINA:Resilience project provides support to Ukrainian artistic and cultural organisations to develop project ideas around the theme of resilience into joint project proposals with partners from Creative Europe countries (EU countries, non-EU countries). The aim of this project is to enhance the capacity of Ukrainian organisations for international cooperation, to build equal and sustainable partnerships, to create new cultural, artistic, and creative products, to raise awareness about Ukraine, and to promote Ukraine’s integration into the EU’s cultural landscape.
Thanks to the seed funding call, selected Ukrainian organisations will have supported their capacity to develop international projects. Participants will gain the opportunity to test their creative ideas and develop them into international projects, find new partnerships and cooperation formats with organisations from Creative Europe programme countries, receive mentoring support and new skills through participation in capacity-building activities, and also develop project proposals for further funding through other calls and projects.
