Re-Source! Ukraine project aims to support European organizations in seven countries that help forcibly displaced Ukrainian artists and cultural professionals to re-establish their careers in the European context.

Footsteps of Resilience

Implementation period of project:
July 2023 — June 2024

The main concept of the project is an investigation into how dance and dance professionals in Central and Eastern Europe worked and produced works of dance during the period of communist totalitarianism in the 20th century, as well as during the subsequent transformation and the emergence of democracy and capitalism. The second project line will be their own aging and how it influenced them in their work.

A year-long international project centred on Alexander Chekmenev’s series of photographs capturing the courage and fighting spirit of ordinary Kiev residents during the Russian war in Ukraine.
