Residency goal
During my stay in Trnava, I focused on deepening my research into the connection between craft, sport, and public space. I spent part of my time at the football pitch on Andreja Kubinu Street, hand-knotting football nets and interacting with the local community, and the rest of my time in the studio developing handmade wooden games. These two locations complemented each other, combining public engagement with concentrated creative work. I also connected with the local art scene at Malý Berlín and the Kubik community center, meeting cultural workers who shaped the project through their curiosity and openness.
What did the residency give you, and why would you recommend it to others?
The residency provided me with the time and space to work in peace, rest, and focus on my projects, while also allowing me to get to know the local people and community. I would recommend it to artists of any discipline because it is well-organized, offers freedom for exploration, and allows you to develop your work in a supportive environment.
