After 15 years, the amazing Japanese music project Kyoto Jazz Massive returned to European stages last year!
Thanks to Malý Berlín cultural centre they’ll be visiting Trnava’s historical centre in September. You’ll be treated to an amazing and concert full of great tunes and energetic performances from a new line-up of musicians from Paris.
The project is the brainchild of the DJ duo Shuya and Yoshihiro Okino, who, back in the 1990s, teamed up with the legendary DJ Gilles Peterson to present a new style of music that fused jazz, funk, electronica, house and other genres. After doing loads of successful gigs around the world, including at major festivals, they’ve come back with a new album and a vision of modern jazz and dance, with elements of house, afrobeat, soul and funk.
Kyoto Jazz Massive, led by Shuyo Okina, will be accompanied on stage by Echoes Of A New Dawn Orchestra, a strong line-up of musicians based in Paris. Together they bring a modern, danceable yet deep jazz experience.
