Anna Siedykh

She comes from Kyiv, Ukraine. At 17, she decided to try studying in Slovakia and unexpectedly fell in love with the local culture. She studied European cultural studies at the Matej Bel University for a year but she was always drawn to writing and journalism, so she decided to transfer to the Faculty of Mass Media Communication in Trnava, where she successfully completed her bachelor’s degree. During that time, she interned in Malý Berlín, where she is still mainly involved in the literary festival Ypsalon and events dedicated to Ukraine. After her bachelor’s degree, she decided to return to Kyiv, where she studied master’s degree in literature and literary science. She works as a translator and journalist, shewrites poems in her spare time.
