Sme veľmi radi, že vás po letnej prestávke môžeme opäť pozvať na novú výstavu, ktorá vznikla v priestore kultúrneho centra Malý Berlín. Výstava s názvom zredukovaná reaguje na staršiu tvorbu Emílie Rigovej, dopĺňa ju a posúva do nových interpretácií a kontextov.
Prezentované diela a skúsenosti autorky vtiahnu diváka do mnohých tém ako je miznutie, neviditeľnosť, prekonávanie, neprítomnosť a vytvára priestor, v ktorom sa návštevník môže stať súčasťou jedinečného zážitku. Prezentovaná výstava je dôležitou a citlivou súčasťou autorkinej praxe v období jej návratu do rodnej Trnavy po dvadsaťročnej neprítomnosti.

EMÍLIA RIGOVÁ (1980)
Vizuálna umelkyňa pochádzajúca z Trnavy. Hlavnými témami jej diel sú kultúrne alebo spoločenské stereotypy, alter ego, rómska identita a psychológia jednotlivca. Vo svojej tvorbe pracuje predovšetkým s objektom v kontexte inštalácie, performance a site-specific intervencií. Je laureátkou Ceny Oskára Čepana 2018 a laureátkou Roma Spirit 2018. Momentálne pôsobí na Univerzite Mateja Bela v Banskej Bystrici, kde získala doktorantský titul u doc. Juraja Saparu, akad. soch. Zúčastnila sa na rezidenčných pobytoch v MuseumQuartier vo Viedni, v Czarnej Gore v Poľsku či na Visegrad Artist Residency Program v Budapešti. Má za sebou množstvo výstav či už doma alebo v zahraničí. Z jej samostatných výstav môžeme spomenúť Čohani z Koni Ajlend (2020) v Kunsthalle Bratislava, Lost Identity (2018) v MQ21 vo Viedni alebo Revive / Purano Hanogos (2020) v Artvist Lab, Praha. Medzi skupinové výstavy, ktorých sa zúčastnila, patrí napr. FUTUROMA (2019) na bienále v Benátkach.
HANNA PALEI (1987)
Kultúrna manažérka a kurátorka pochádzajúca z Bieloruska. Jej kurátorské projekty sa týkajú lokálnej identity, feminizmu a bežného života v bieloruskom kontexte. Je zakladateľkou kultúrno-vzdelávacej platformy Pershy Krok (pershykrok.by), ktorá vznikla v roku 2018 ako lokálna sieť aktérov umenia pre štúdium a prax nových médií. Medzi jej predchádzajúce práce patria napr: Medzinárodný festival Mesiac fotografie (regionálny program, téma: Prežitie, 2020), séria audiovizuálnych ženských portrétov Autentické (2021), vzdelávací umelecký program Palesse in Focus (2022). Je zakladateľkou platformy maramora.co.

We are very pleased that after the summer break we can invite you again to the opening of a new exhibition, which was created in the space of the cultural centre Malý Berlin. The exhibition entitled “reduced” reacts to the older work of Emília Rigová, complements it and moves it into new interpretations and contexts.
The presented works and experiences of the author draw the viewer into many topics such as disappearance, invisibility, overcoming and absence and creates a space in which the visitor can become part of a unique experience. The presented exhibition is an important and sensitive part of the author’s practice during her return to her native Trnava after a twenty-year absence.

EMÍLIA RIGOVÁ (1980)
Visual artist from Trnava. The main themes of her works are cultural or social stereotypes, alter ego, Roma identity and individual psychology. In herwork, she primarily works with the object in the context of installation, performance and site-specific interventions. She is the laureate of the Oskar Čepan Award 2018 and also the Roma Spirit 2018 laureate. She currently works at the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, where she received her doctoral degree from her studies under doc. Juraj Sapara, acad. sculpture. She participated in residencies at the MuseumQuartier in Vienna, Czarna Gora in Poland, and the Visegrad Artist Residency Program in Budapest. She has exhibited her work at exhibitions at home and abroad. Among her solo exhibitions, we can mention Čohani z Koni Ajlend (2020) at Kunsthalle Bratislava, Lost Identity (2018) at MQ21 in Vienna or Revive / Purano Hanogos (2020) at Artvist Lab, Prague. Among the group exhibitions in which she participated is e.g. FUTUROMA (2019) at the Venice Biennale.

She is the founder of the cultural and educational platform Pershy Krok (pershykrok.by), which was established in 2018 as a local network of art actors for the study and practice of new media. Her previous works include, for example: the International Festival Month of Photography (regional program, theme: Survival, 2020), the series of audiovisual female portraits Authentic (2021), the educational art program Palesse in Focus (2022). She is the founder of the maramora.co platform.
